Sara Soltan

Psychotherapist

Dr. Sara Soltan, a medical doctor located in Cardiff, UK, has been a dedicated advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights for 10 years. In her extensive career, she has worked on many different aspects of sexual health, serving as a doctor, researcher, sexual educator, and public health practitioner.

However, Dr. Soltan came to realise that sexual difficulties are not typically due to organic causes alone. This understanding led her to study for a postgraduate diploma in psychosexual and relationship therapy to gain a more holistic understanding of the field of psychosexual therapy. In doing so, she realised the importance of intimate relationships to people’s emotional, mental, and sexual wellbeing, and now she also works with couples on improving their relationships.
Dr. Soltan provides a warm and safe space for her clients, free from judgement, allowing them to be authentic and feel accepted for who they are. She adopts an integrative approach, believing that therapy and treatment must be tailored to her clients’ distinct needs, where they set the pace.
Having worked in different countries and with minority communities, Dr. Soltan appreciates human differences and diversity and offers an empathetic and accepting environment for everyone. Her areas of interest include gender, sexual and relationship diversity, vaginismus, dyspareunia, erectile dysfunction, anorgasmia, polyamorous relationships, kink, infidelity, and gender dysphoria.

Dr. Soltan offers therapy in English and Arabic. She is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and is a student member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).
