Heba Ghoneim

AMFT , APCC Psychologist

Heba Ghoneim graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the American University in Cairo with high honors. She is also a member of Psychi.
She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University in California.
She is a registered associate marriage and family therapist and an associate professional clinical counselor in California. She is currently working towards her full licensure as a marriage and family therapist and a professional clinical counselor in California under a licensed supervisor.
Please note that Heba’s therapy work in Egypt is under Egyptian regulations, and is unrelated to her California BBS associate registration numbers.


Heba is an EMDR trained therapist. Heba trained at EMDR professional training, an EMDRIA approved training program and is currently working towards her EMDR certification.
She has worked with various populations from diverse ethnicities, races, and backgrounds during her previous training at Turning Point Center for Families based in California.
Given her clients’ diverse backgrounds and her bicultural background, she understands the importance of cultural humility and fostering a safe environment for her clients.
Heba has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and co-leading groups.

As a mental health clinician, she has helped clients navigate through Trauma, ADHD, general anxiety disorders, social anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, life transitions, perfectionism, anger management, relationship problems, divorce, behavioral issues, couple and family conflicts, and under Mr. Omar Nafei’s supervision and training- sex addiction.

Heba believes that it is a privilege to support clients during their most difficult times and to witness their progress and challenges. She acknowledges that it takes incredible strength to ask for help in a world that still misunderstands mental health and its importance.
